You Belong to Me- Tori Amosi've been in love with this version ever since i caught Mona Lisa Smile.
anyhow, i've finally finished The Unbearable Lightness of Being.
according to it, everyone wants to be looked at, and we can be classified into 4 categories according to the looks we want to live by:
those who crave for the attention of large numbers of anonymous people (the public),
those who want to be looked on by many known people (people they know),
those who desire the eyes of their lovers,
and
those who live under the imaginary presence of others (behaving as though that person was there).
i think i belong to the second and fourth categories.
i can tell you that i'm rather affected by this philosophical book. i can't get these categories out of mind, or the idea of kitsch, or everything.
not to forget that i'm accumulated myself quite a bad reputation lately. i suppose i'm in self-denial.
me: i'm not a clubber what.
jin: no, you just club a lot.
technically there's nothing wrong with being a clubber. it's the negative connotations that come with the label. sometimes it gets irritating that people assume you're a badass, like you're supposed to be wasted and half-gone all the time. or a half-virgin or whatever. that's nonsense.
so anyhow, i was out the entire monday night. first was a MUCH delayed dinner with my gal pals, and then Narnia. i was utterly disappointed by the graphics of Aslan. i had extremely high expectations of its awesomeness after reading the book.
i met up with the guys after that. we were supposed to pick jianqing up from the airport, and we ended up staying at the viewing mall, enthralled by a 3-hour long monopoly game. daryl came equipped with it, you see.
david had to replace me, because of my lacklustre performance in managing my finances. haha.
as for today, i had locvid editing and thank goodness it went okay. one of our tapes went missing, see. but yeah, i'm so proud of our project nonetheless! i can't wait to see the whole film, even if its merely 5 minutes long. :)
i'm just so glad that i'm in mass comm.
